Class Policies

Classes are $140 for 7 weeks and meet once a week for one hour unless otherwise noted.
Classes start in September, November, January, and March and are open for enrollment by the 15th of the month PRIOR TO which they begin. Offered classes are subject to instructor availability and weather. All classes are held at 2638 Powers Ave Jacksonville, FL 32207 unless otherwise noted.

Everyone on K-9 property MUST wear closed-toe shoes. This includes observers and handlers.

Before enrolling ensure you can attend all of the class dates. Enrollment will be confirmed once a day and payment is not processed until enrollment is confirmed. Enrollment closes two days before the start of class and no late enrollments will be permitted. The discount for active members may not appear when enrolling but it will be applied before payment is processed. Our classes fill quickly and early enrollment helps ensure a place in our classes.

No refunds are given once a class begins and no make ups are offered. Any class conflicts should be adequately discussed with the instructor who will then involve the training director if needed.

Class schedules are subject to change due to inclement weather. ALWAYS check your instructor communication and weather forecast for K-9 Obedience Club before arriving at class.

Walk-ins are NOT permitted, but we encourage you to visit our facility and observe a class. Contact the class instructor directly to schedule your class observation visit.

**Policy Changes**
​This class offers training in the skills required to best showcase your particular breed of dog in the AKC conformation ring. Classes are appropriate for both new and experienced handlers and will give you the opportunity to practice in a show ring and have experienced handlers go over your dog. This is an excellent opportunity to work on any issues your dog may be experiencing. Please bring lots of high value treats, show lead, and water for your dog.  Handlers should wear comfortable running shoes.

Class minimum: 5 Class maximum: 15
Requirements
Puppies must have at least two rounds of puppy vaccines to attend class. Dogs over 6 months of age need to have a current rabies vaccine. 

Registration
Registration is now online like all other classes. No walk-ins or late enrollments will be accepted.
Registration opens in 7 week sessions and closes 24 hrs before class.  Each class must be registered for individually.
Complete the enrollment form once every 3 months and have your vaccination records ready to upload.
Our Training Director approves each registration before you are charged.

Cancellations
Class will be cancelled if the class size minimum is not met or for bad weather.
Cancellation notices will be sent out 24 hrs before class starts with a $12 refund.
Student cancellation requests must be made at least 7 days before class to receive a refund(unless there is a medical exemption) and will be less a refund fee of $2.
