About Us
The K-9 Obedience Club of Jacksonville, Inc. was founded in 1951 as a not-for-profit organization. K-9's purpose is to educate dog owners to make our community safe and to promote humane treatment of dogs. K-9 offers affordable and accessible classes that strengthen the bond between dog and owner. K-9's educational program also includes group support and dog-related activities to the people of Northeast Florida.
K-9 offers classes in training, seminars on special canine topics, and informational programs at general membership club meetings. The club's grounds provide a safe and beautiful area where these activities take place. K-9 hosts six AKC licensed Obedience Trials and six AKC licensed Rally Obedience Trials per year. Our Match Committee holds Obedience Show-n-Go's several times a year where members have the opportunity to test their skill a trial atmosphere in the ring. (See the Show-n-Go for more details on these fun matches.) |
